PPOPHETS in the Hebrew Bible

REVELATIO

G The End Times -false prophets, appearance of the anti-Christ, the great tribulation, second coming of the Messiah, believers’ first resurrection, the battle of the Armageddon, Satan in the Abyss

In God’s redemptive plan, we enter the period of nearing of the end, after Christ’s ascension and the Gospel is preached to the whole world by His disciples. The text is found in the books of the Prophets in the Old Testament and book of Revelation in the New Testament.

Once we reach God the Father’s appointed time, things will start to happen very quickly. Such times are often referred to as “birth-pains” in the Bible. If you read the following Bible passages in order, we are able to work out exactly what will happen shortly before and after Christ’s second coming. We are certainly living in these end times. If we take heed of God’s word and Christ teachings, we are able to prepare ourselves for the things to come.

1) The beginning of birth-pains

Matthew 24:4-8

2) Coming of the last anti-Christ

1 John 2:18, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, Matthew 24:24, Daniel 7:19-27

3) Signs in the heavens

Matthew 24:29-31, Isaiah 13:10, 34:4, Joel 2:31

4) The second coming of Jesus Christ

Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:16-17, Matthew 5:35, 23:37-39, Zecharaiah 14:4

5) The first resurrection of righteous believers

Revelation 20:4-6, 1 Corinthians 15:23, 15:51-52, 1 Thessaloniasn 4:16

6) The battle of Armageddon

Ezekiel 38-39, Revelation 19:11, 19:15-21

7) Throwing of the Anti-Christ (beast) and false prophets into hell alive

Revelation 19:20

8) Locking of Satan in the Abyss

Revelation 20:1-3

When Jesus’ disciples asked him,

“what will be the sign that they (the end of the age) are about to take place?” Jesus answered them:

“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. Zt that time, they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:25-28)

Didn’t the horrific events of the Sumatra earthquake and tsunami on 26th December 2004, and the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan on 11th March 2011 remind us of these words in the prophecy?

Jesus repeatedly said “He who has an ear, let him hear,” in his messages. We should now take heed to this message and listen.
