PROPETS in the Hebrew Bible

H The Ruling of God's Kingdom by Christ-fulfilment of promises given to Israel, The king of Judah, the thousand year rule by Christ on earth, Satan goes into hell after his final uprising following his release from the Abyss after one thousand years.

We now move into a period of Christ’s rule of the whole world from Jerusalem and there is peace.  The text is found in the books of the Prophets in the Old Testament and book of Revelation in the New Testament.

Please read Revelation 20.

“And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations any more until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.” (Revelation 20:1-3)

In this way, the much awaited Christ’s rule of a kingdom where there is no Satan to deceive is a Jewish kingdom. The Jewish remnants who had not been able to fulfil their role as God’s chosen people, now accept Jesus as the Saviour of the Jews and throw themselves into worldwide evangelism as Christ’s witnesses. This will be the first time that the whole world will belong to Christ. Those that were Christ’s witnesses in this present age (ie our current generation) will receive the responsibility of ruling this kingdom of God with King Jesus and they will work like angels  to ensure God’s word and teachings fill the earth.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied about this day.
“In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, “Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any more.” (Isaiah 2:2-4)

The prophet Daniel also foresaw the coming of this Kingdom of God and prophesied
“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man (Jesus Christ), coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days (Father God) and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all proples, nations and men of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:13-14)

In addition, the ideal generation that the prophet Isaiah prophesied about as follows will be finally fulfilled in this Kingdom of God on earth ruled by our loving and righteous King Jesus.
“I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more. Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.” (Isaiah 65:19-20)
