What is the Bible?

An extraordinary book, consisting of 66 books
(39 books in the Old Testament, 27 books in the New Testament)
and written over a period of 1600 years
by about 40 authors in at least 4 languages
(Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, and Latin).

'God's Word' which God has prophetically revealed His redemptive plans for the salvation of man through Jesus Christ
from the past, present and the future
through the authors inspired by the Holy Spirit.

It starts with God's creation of the universe in the first book,
Genesis, and ends with the coming of the new heaven and earth,
and God's new city in the last book, Revelation.

A book of God's wisdom and power translated today
into over 1100 languages,
which has been influencing all men
beyond the wall of time, space, race, and nation and
which gives the true answer to the question,
'How should we live now?'

Heaven and earth will pass away,
my words will never pass away.

Matthew 24:35
